Recently, our team received a distress call about a canine suffering on the streets, battling severe Canine Distemper (CD), a life-threatening viral disease. Time was of the essence, and we knew that immediate action could make the difference between life and death.
The call came from a concerned citizen who noticed the young canine in dire condition. Upon hearing the details, we rushed to the location without hesitation. The scene was heartbreaking. The canine was visibly weak, her movements slow and labored, and her eyes reflected pain and exhaustion. It was evident that she required urgent medical attention and a safe space to recover.
With gentle care, we secured the canine and transported her to our shelter hospital at TMT, Tirupur. Our veterinary team was on standby, ready to assess her condition and provide immediate treatment. Upon examination, the vet confirmed that she was suffering from advanced Canine Distemper, a condition requiring intensive and prolonged care.
The vet team quickly initiated a treatment plan, administering essential medicines and injections to stabilize her condition. She was also placed in our dedicated CD care unit, a specialized section of our shelter designed to cater to animals battling contagious diseases. Here, she would receive around-the-clock monitoring, a nutritious diet, and the best possible care to aid her recovery. |
