Every day, countless animals suffer in silence on the streets, facing challenges we cannot even imagine. This is the story of one such soul—a helpless baby fighting for her life against the odds.
It began with a call. A Good Samaritan informed us about a young dog suffering on the streets. She was bleeding continuously, clearly in immense pain, and battling a severe case of Transmissible Venereal Tumor (TVT)—a type of cancer common among unsterilized stray dogs.
We knew time was of the essence. Without hesitation, we set out to find her. What we found was heartbreaking. She was terrified, in visible agony, and bleeding profusely. Her fear and pain made approaching her a challenge, but giving up was never an option.
The baby’s fear was overwhelming. She cowered, unsure of the intentions of the humans trying to help her. After a long and delicate struggle, we managed to catch her, taking care not to hurt her further.
We gently carried her to our shelter hospital at TMT, Tirupur, knowing that her journey to recovery had just begun.
Diagnosis and Immediate Care
At the shelter, our veterinarian conducted a thorough examination. The prognosis was serious—her TVT required immediate chemotherapy. However, her condition was complicated by severe blood loss, leaving her too weak to begin the treatment right away.
The first step was to stabilize her. Painkillers were administered to ease her suffering, and she was placed in a safe, quiet space where she could rest and recover. Blood tests were ordered to evaluate her overall health and determine the best course of action for her chemotherapy.

This baby is a fighter, but she cannot do it alone. Her recovery will be a long road, requiring not just medical intervention but also love, care, and the prayers of kind-hearted people like you.
