we believe that educating the younger generation about animal welfare is crucial for building a compassionate future. Recently, we had the wonderful opportunity to conduct an awareness program at Shiva Niketan Primary School in Tiruppur, representing the Thangam Memorial Trust.
Our Mission
The primary aim of our program was to inform students and their parents about the importance of animal welfare and the well-being of stray animals in our community. With increasing urbanization, many animals face challenges such as hunger, neglect, and unsafe living conditions. By raising awareness, we hope to inspire action and empathy towards these voiceless beings.
Engaging Students
During the event, we organized interactive sessions where students learned about various aspects of animal care, including the importance of spaying and neutering pets, providing food and shelter for strays, and recognizing signs of distress in animals. The enthusiasm and engagement from the students were heartwarming. They participated actively in discussions, asked thoughtful questions, and shared their experiences with pets and stray animals.
Involvement of Parents
We also addressed parents, emphasizing their role in fostering a sense of responsibility towards animals. Many parents expressed their support for initiatives aimed at improving the lives of stray animals, and we encouraged them to involve their children in local animal welfare activities. The feedback from both students and parents was overwhelmingly positive, and it was encouraging to see a community united in the cause of animal welfare.
A Bright Future for Animals
What stood out during the program was the genuine interest and care exhibited by the students. Their eagerness to learn and help animals was a testament to the success of our awareness initiative. It gives us hope that as these young minds grow, they will carry forward the message of compassion and advocacy for animal rights.
We are incredibly grateful to Shiva Niketan Primary School for allowing us to share our mission and to the Thangam Memorial Trust for their unwavering support. Together, we can build a kinder world for animals.
