An informer with a kind heart contacted Friends of Animals about the cruelty and torture two donkeys were suffering at the hands of a local dhobi in Tirupur. To keep the donkeys in their reach, generally washermen tie the fore limbs to the neck while also carrying heavy loads on their back. This will mean they would have to hop to walk and over time these animals develop long term injuries. Donkeys came in with back and fractured limbs every day and did the hard yards for their owners. The rescue of these equines has made them a family of four, including a rescued pony. They now happily graze in the farmlands and are super boisterous in their behavior!
