In a heart-wrenching turn of events, a recent rescue mission highlighted the urgent need for animal welfare and emergency care. We received an alarming call about an adult canine and a puppy who had suffered severe injuries following an accident. The adult canine, having sustained a broken leg, was found in the streets in excruciating pain. The puppy, also in distress, was struggling to cope with its own injuries.
Our dedicated team swiftly responded to the distress call. Upon arrival, it became evident that both animals required immediate and ongoing medical attention. The adult canine, critically injured, was transported to our shelter hospital at TMT Tirupur. There, our skilled veterinarian conducted a thorough examination, revealing the severity of the injuries.
The canine's leg was immobilized with Plaster of Paris (POP) to stabilize the fracture. In addition, the animal was administered painkillers and antibiotics to manage pain and prevent infection. Comprehensive wound care was initiated to ensure proper healing. The puppy, while less critically injured, was also given the necessary medications and placed under observation for further treatment.
This rescue underscores the importance of prompt intervention and specialized care for injured animals. The journey to recovery for both the canine and the puppy is ongoing, with regular treatments and medical follow-ups scheduled to ensure their well-being.
