A SECOND CHANCE FOR LIFE: RESCUING A BADLY INJURED CALF

In the early hours of this morning, I received a heart-wrenching call about a young calf in desperate need of help. The poor baby had been struck by a vehicle late last night, dragged along the road, and left behind in excruciating pain. It was bleeding heavily, and all four legs were broken.

Without wasting a moment, I rushed to the location. On the way, I was informed that some individuals had taken the calf, intending to send it to a slaughterhouse. My heart sank at the thought of this innocent life enduring even more suffering.

I reached just in time to intercept the vehicle. With determination and compassion, I informed the group that I was from an animal welfare organization and that this calf deserved a chance to live. I assured them I would take full responsibility for its treatment. They relented, and I quickly arranged a vehicle to transport the baby to TMT Shelter Hospital in Tirupur.

The sight at the hospital was overwhelming. The vet examined the calf and delivered the grim news: severe anemia due to massive blood loss, multiple fractures in both hind legs, and broken bones in the front legs. Yet, amidst the pain, there was hope. The vet reassured me that, with consistent care and treatment, this precious life could heal.

The calf’s journey to recovery has begun. We’ve started with essential medicines, injections, and tender care. Now, the little one is under close observation, surrounded by love and comfort it so desperately needs.

This baby has suffered more than any creature should ever have to, but we are holding onto hope with every ounce of compassion in our hearts. Please join us in praying for this innocent soul to recover fully and live a life filled with love, kindness, and safety.

Every thought, prayer, and wish of healing makes a difference. Let’s stand together and show this little one the power of humanity’s compassion.
